Isadore Goldman selects Katchr to enhance reporting as part of Clio rollout

London-based law firm Isadore Goldman, top tier ranked insolvency and restructuring specialists, has selected Katchr’s analytics platform to replace spreadsheet-based reporting with automated, real-time management information as part of its IT transformation project, which included a strategic move to the Clio practice management system.

Codified Strategy Limited is acting as strategic technology advisor to Isadore Goldman on the programme, supporting platform selection and the design of the wider technology stack.

The Challenge: Manual Reporting Holding Back Growth

Like many established firms, Isadore Goldman was constrained by manual, spreadsheet-dependent reporting processes that limited financial visibility and decision-making speed. The firm needed a solution that would provide consistent, accurate performance data across all business operations.

The Solution: A Connected Technology Stack

Isadore Goldman will implement Katchr alongside Clio and Xero and a new web based HR system to create an integrated approach to performance reporting. This strategic technology stack will combine Clio’s case and matter management with Katchr’s analytics layer, delivering a single, consistent view of financial and operational performance.

The project has strong backing across Isadore Goldman. Directors, fee earners, finance and operations have all been actively engaged in the selection process, and there is visible enthusiasm firm-wide for the deployment ahead.

“Our move to Clio is a key step forward for the firm operationally. At the same time, we wanted to ensure we had the right reporting and analytics capabilities alongside it,” said Ian Johnson, Head of Finance at Isadore Goldman.

“Katchr will allow us to bring that together; providing a structured, automated layer of management information that will complement our core systems and will give us much greater confidence in the numbers.”

Immediate Impact and Future Vision

The Katchr integration will provide direct connectivity with Clio and Xero, consolidating data into dashboards and reports that support month-end processes, performance tracking, and financial oversight. The implementation will initially focus on replacing and improving existing reporting outputs, as the initial phase of a transition to a fully automated, system-led reporting environment.

“The future for law firms is about highly integrated IT (including AI), data analytics and the removal of ‘friction’ for the lawyers. This aspect of our project is about building the right ecosystem around our core systems. Clio gives us a very strong operational foundation with workflows and embedded AI, and Katchr will enhance that by turning the data into meaningful insight we can use to run the business,” added Nick Oliver, Managing Director at Isadore Goldman.

The project exemplifies a growing trend in the legal sector, where firms are adopting technology stacks that combine cloud-based practice management systems with specialist analytics platforms to strengthen financial visibility and decision-making capabilities. For Katchr, the project reflects its growing alignment with cloud-first platforms such as Clio, as firms build deeper reporting and business intelligence around their core systems.
