Katchr Connect conference 2021

Maximising value from your investment in Katchr

After our virtual conference last year, we’re excited to announce our Connect conference in 2021 will be an actual event!

We’re holding it at Woburn House, Kings Cross in October and can’t wait to meet you all again in person. With many stories and catch ups overdue, it’ll be a great chance to network with other law firms and hear lots of advice and best practice around running a law firm in 2021.

It is an invitation-only event for a special group of law firms. Come along and hear from experts and your peers about how to maximise your value from Katchr. We have created an agenda not to be missed with speakers on law firm management, roundtable discussions and breakout sessions.

A unique benefit of Katchr Connect will be the chance to meet with other law firms using the Katchr products. Find out best practices around using data in finance, legal operations, marketing, HR and sales. We’ll be facilitating roundtable discussions to help you gain industry insights, and you’ll also get to find out our future plans and a software roadmap for 2021 – 22.

David Gilroy

Managing Director, Conscious Solutions

David is a serial entrepreneur and experienced law firm marketing consultant who has worked with over 400 law firms in the last decade. Although predominantly a marketing guy, David’s business experience includes growing a call centre from 7 staff to over 200 in four years and building an agency from 4 staff to over 100 in four years including raising £7.5m of venture capital money. For the last 18 years David and his team of 40 have built Conscious Solutions into the leading digital marketing agency working with law firms. In his keynote presentation, David will give us some reflections on both the challenges and the opportunities he sees in the legal sector in these volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous times.

Simon McCrum

Managing Director, McCrum Consulting

Simon qualified as a Commercial Litigation solicitor in 1990 at Pannone. His role gradually evolved into a marketing and management role. He became Head of various teams, Marketing Partner, Director of Business Development, and part of the Management Team at Pannone. In 2007, Simon became Managing Partner at Darbys Solicitors. The firm made a trading loss in 2007 but after going a long way backwards – and during the Credit Crunch – the firm emerged to have its most successful year ever in 2010 and in 2013 it was the country’s fastest-growing law firm. In 2016, Darbys was acquired by Knights Professional Services and Simon exited to form McCrum Consulting, a management consultancy for law firms. He now works with law firms to help them to do the things he did right, and to avoid the things that he did wrong. He has pulled all of this together into a model which he calls The Perfect Legal Business. A dedicated “growth” merchant, Simon helps firms to move towards becoming The Perfect Legal Business. He can point to improvements in service delivery, lawyer performance, team performance, and firm profitability and cash positions, at law firms around the country that he works with. More than that though, he works with firms so that they change their destiny. Simon is the author of the “Law Firms in Lockdown” series of reports, and of the best-selling book, “The Perfect Legal Business” – all of which can be accessed via

Combining his sense of humour with a sharp focus on business strategy, his sessions and the work he does with clients enables them to focus on action and achieve change. He is a consultant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, an experienced facilitator and business coach, working with senior executives, boards, partners and consulting firms to enhance performance within and across their business.
