Katchr Connect Conference 2022
Turning Successful Law Firms into Successful Businesses.
It barely seems like five minutes since Katchr Connect 2021 but this year’s User Conference is already upon us. After last year’s packed house we are very much looking forward to welcoming old and new customers alike to this must-see event to help you gain the best possible value from your Katchr software.
The venue remains the same: Woburn House, London on 9th November 2022 and we’re excited to see you all in person.
As with previous events, this is a great chance for you to network with other law firms and hear lots of advice and best practice around running a law firm in 2022.
It is an invitation-only event for a special group of law firms. Come along and hear from experts and your peers about how to maximise your value from Katchr. We are creating an agenda not to be missed with speakers on law firm management, roundtable discussions and breakout sessions.
A unique benefit of Katchr Connect will be the chance to meet with other law firms using the Katchr products. Find out best practices around using data in finance, legal operations, marketing, HR and sales. We’ll be facilitating roundtable and breakout discussions to help you gain industry insights, and you’ll also get to find out our future plans and a software roadmap for 2022 – 23.
We have created an agenda not to be missed with keynote speakers, round-table discussions, breakout sessions and the opportunity to network with some of the most forward-thinking law firms in the country.

The legal sector continues to be a challenging environment for many firms. Being able to think outside the box and present different options to clients to help them with the wide range of issues they face on a regular basis is what Patricia most enjoys.
Specialist Adviser - Legal and Professional Services at Brightspace Communications
Simon is a specialist adviser to Bright Space Communications and its clients. In a 30 year career, he has been involved in shaping some of the UK’s most successful professional service firms. As marketing lead he created the global brand for quoted real estate advisory firm DTZ plc. DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield Inc. later merged to become Cushman & Wakefield plc. He transformed the fortunes of Charles Russell (now Charles Russell Speechlys LLP) providing them with the platform for long-term growth which they sustain to this day.
He was a key member of the leadership team which planned and executed the unique 7-way merger to create Eversheds LLP in the year 2000. Eversheds became the UK’s first national law firm.
He co-founded the interim management practice of First Counsel Limited (now Totum Partners).
Simon advised on the planning and implementation of the merger to create Ashtons Legal Limited with a footprint across East Anglia. As chief executive officer of Thomson Snell & Passmore LLP he worked with Guinness World Records to verify the firm’s unique status as the world’s longest established legal practice.
He served as non-executive board member of accountancy firm PKF Littlejohn LLP. Most recently, as chief executive officer of Pemberton Greenish LLP, he negotiated and executed the merger with Cripps LLP, the leading law firm in the South East where he now serves as non-executive board member.
He also serves as non-executive chair of Byfield Consultancy Limited, the pre-eminent legal PR firm providing reputation counsel to some of the world’s most successful practices.
Principal at Brightspace Communications
Ingrid Brown is a co-founder and principal at purpose led creative communications consultancy, Bright Space Communications. She has worked inhouse and as a consultant delivering strategic corporate brand, purpose and culture programmes for PLC and independent businesses looking to communicate their value in distinctive and relevant ways. Ingrid has worked with many professional services firms including Allen & Overy, JLL and Arup.
Ingrid’s conviction is that the only way a business can influence key audiences is by working within the context of a company’s culture and brand. Many of her recent projects have involved working with clients to develop and align purpose, with a clear vision and set of values. Without this platform the brand and associated communications can feel disparate and inconsistent. Today’s audiences need to understand more around why you exist and why that matters if you want them to follow you.
Ingrid is happiest uncovering and developing a narrative for a business that feels distinctive and ownable. She does this by speaking to and listening to their audiences and employees to find new and better ways of communicating and working together. She’ll keep challenging because she believes every business can express a better version of itself.
Founder of Big Yellow Penguin, former CEO at Brethertons
Shaun qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and specialised in litigation going on to qualify as a mediator in 2001. Since 2014, he has been involved in law firm management of a top 200 law firm both as a Commercial Director and CEO.
During the period that Shaun was CEO of Brethertons LLP, the firm implemented a large change management programme which resulted in 120 staff having to apply for clearly defined roles. The outcome of the programme included creating a new governance model, career progression pathways, a new legal team structure, detailed role profiles, employee banding, and key result areas linked to performance. Most importantly a ‘Brethertonian’ would know what their role was in the organisation, what was expected of them and how they could progress their career to the next stage.
In 2021, after visiting the US and liaising with lawyers in Australia, Shaun achieved a long-held ambition, to lead the design and implementation of a value pricing project at Brethertons. Value pricing is not an easy project to deliver. It requires full leadership and management support and a paradigm shift to embrace a new way of thinking.
We would like to welcome you and your leadership team, so please let us know who will be joining us from your firm.
